- Southglenn
The project site is comprised of approximately 77 acres in Centennial, CO and included
demolition of the existing Southglenn Mall, approximately 3 million CY of overlot
material placement, approximately 1 million square feet of retail space, 150,000
square feet of office space, and 200 luxury for-rent apartment homes to make up
a mixed-use community of shops, restaurants, homes, and offices. GROUND incorporated
the use of recycled materials from the demolition of the existing mall and parking
lots to reduce pavement thicknesses. All test compilations, weekly reports, and
project reports are prepared in our mobile field office which provided immediate
convenience for answering questions to the client and contractors at the site.

- River Point at Sheridan
The River Point project is a Brownfield redevelopment in Englewood, CO, which includes
the remediation of two former landfills. This open-air collection of shops, restaurants
and entertainment venues borders a golf course and the South Platte River greenbelt.
This challenging site required extensive trash and construction material removal
and the importation of over I,000,000 CY of fill material. This trash removal and
fill placement was initiated on a 24/7 schedule extending for a period of over 10
months.

- Northfield at Stapleton
This 100+ acre site includes many major stand-alone retail structures, an 18-plex
movie theatre and an inline town center. The site development includes over 15,700
LF of storm and drainage conduits, 7,000 LF of sanitary sewer, 17,500 LF of waterline,
15,575 lineal feet of roadway, and 1,500,000 square feet of asphalt parking. The
structures were founded on a spread/continuous footing foundation system with a
slab-on-grade floor system placed on structural fill. An onsite mobile laboratory
was utilized for all field and laboratory testing and report generation.

- Glenwood Meadows
GROUND Engineering provided geotechnical recommendations and construction materials
testing for the Glenwood Meadows retail development in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
The development included several retail anchor stores as well as sixteen other buildings
supported on footings bearing on 10 or more feet of overexcavation. Sinkholes are
common in the general project area along the valleys of the Colorado and Roaring
Fork Rivers and their tributaries. GROUND performed a supplemental drilling program
at the start of project grading, advancing a test hole at each footing location,
to assess the potential presence of voids in the subsurface that could affect the
buildings.

- Shops at Centerra
GROUND provided construction materials testing for the Shops at Centerra development
located in Loveland, Colorado. The project consists of a lifestyle center with 15
retail shopping store buildings, 6 new restaurants and a movie theater; the building
structures are comprised of CMU and steel framing. The site required an approximate
800,000 cubic yards of cut/fill site grading to be completed. Site work improvements
consist of 15,000 linear feet of storm sewer, 14,500 linear feet of water line,
7,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer, 11,000 linear feet of double span box culvert,
perimeter underdrains for every structure, estimated 40,000 tons of asphalt paving,
16,350 square feet of concrete flatwork and 52,870 linear feet of concrete curb
and gutter.

- Grand Park Crossing
Located in Fraser, Colorado, The Village at Grand Park is a new epicenter that includes
over 300,000 square feet of new restaurants, retail, parking garage, high-end multi-story
living areas and a 60,000 square foot recreation center. The Village at Grand Park
includes 10 city blocks over about 30 acres surrounding a preserved meadow. GROUND
provided geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing for this large
scale project.
